Mission impossible or Missoni mistaken!

Whilst we all accept that art is subjective, there are common sensory denominators that appeal to the masses in the same way there are cuisines that are universally enjoyed being it the humble pizza, humous or simply ice cream.
I, like a lot of people, enjoy and identify with classic fashion and when I saw Jose Gomez’s art I could immediately could identify it with something quite classic which incidentally, something he was unaware of. In the same way fashion designer Missoni arranges and masters his blends of colours in complex meshes and matrices to create an aesthetic collage of colour, I could see how Jose too used his instincts to create the balance of tone and depth in his work. In fact, there was one piece which one could easily mistake it for an original Missoni piece albeit on canvas.
Modern art can tire the eye as I discovered having worked in a high tech environment dominated by masses of colour. However, if anything Jose’s art I found both soothing and relaxing and truly inspirational. If you have not seen it, and you enjoy an infusion of colours, I would recommend it!
